How does my child move through the levels?
At each level there are specific skills that your child will be learning. We have a chart listing those skills available for you at the front desk. Although these are not comprehensive, this SKILL CHART will give you an idea of the skills the students are working on at that particular level. Children under 6, are placed in a class based on age. Children 6 and older are placed into a class based on skill mastery.

Students (6 and older) will earn apparatus ribbons for each event within their level. For girls, the apparatus include vault, bars, beam and floor. For boys the apparatus include vault, high bar, parallel bars, pommel horse, rings and floor. Once a student has mastered the skills within their level on a particular apparatus they will earn an apparatus ribbon. On the back of their skill chart is a place to collect these ribbons. Once all apparatus ribbons have been earned the student will be recommended by their coach to either move to the next level or schedule a Technique 20. These are scheduled at the front desk.

A Technique 20 is designed as an evaluation or technique check up for your gymnast. During this 20 minute evaluation the gymnast will be evaluated on each event and given helpful tips on how to improve their skills. If the Technique 20 coach believes the student to be ready, they will recommend the child be promoted to the next level. A gymnast may attend a Technique 20 once every six months or with an instructor's recommendation.

What about TURBO TUMBLERS?
Turbo Tumblers is a class for those students ages 3-5 years who need a little more advanced class. Enrollment in this class is by coach recommendation only. A child must have excellent listening skills, know all of the vocabulary taught at the tiny tumbler level and show a real aptitude for gymnastics.
