| Q.
What is the order of events for the party?
A.
When you arrive, you will want to check-in at the front
desk, where our staff will take your cake, drinks, and
any other items you have brought and bring them to the
party room, which will be set up for you. Once your
guests arrive and it’s time for the party to start,
the party staff will collect the waivers take the kids
to the main floor. If you are having a gymnastics party,
the kids will begin with a fun and exciting warm-up.
Rock climbing parties begin with harnessing and some
fun bouldering practice. The first hour will include
whatever activity you have chosen, either gymnastics
or rock climbing. (Combination parties will switch from
rock climbing to gymnastics after half an hour.) Once
the activity time is finished the group will head to
the party room for a craft and refreshments, and, lastly,
proceed to the gift area to open presents.
Q.
Am I allowed to bring in food or snacks (like pizza)?
A.
You are welcome to bring in any food that you would
like to. There is a Round Table Pizza near Encore and
they frequently deliver to the gym. If you would like
to order pizza from them it is a good idea to call as
soon as you arrive. You can also bring in any type of
snack food you would like. Encore does not have a sink
in the party room, nor appliances for reheating, so
simple foods are best. We do have a refrigerator for
the soft drinks (juice boxes or pouch drinks work really
well) and a freezer for ice cream.
Q.
Can my 4 year old participate if we are doing rock climbing?
A.
We recommend rock climbing for age 5 and older. Younger
friends and family that are over age 3 but under age
5 can hang out in the waiting area during rock climbing;
they are welcome to participate during the gymnastics
portion if they would like. It is difficult for the
birthday party staff to monitor any children that are
not climbing with the group, for this reason, and to
ensure your guests’ safety, we ask that guests
under the age of five stay in the waiting area with
a responsible adult.
Q.
Who can go on the floor?
A.
During parties for children turning 4 and older, only
two birthday parents will be allowed on the floor during
the activity portion. During Parent/Tot parties all
children must be accompanied by a parent with a signed
waiver. All guest parents and family members are welcome
to watch from the viewing room. And, of course, everybody
is welcome to join for the CAKE!
Q.
How far in advance do you need to know the head count?
A.
In order to allow adequate time for staffing, we ask
that you please call with a head count exceeding 16
kids one week prior to the party date.
