How should my child dress for class?
Leotards for girls, and shorts with tight shirts for boys, are best.
If hair is long enough to fit into a ponytail then that is required
as well. Bare feet are best, since socks have a tendency to slip.
Snaps, zippers, or anything that can pinch the skin should be left
at home. Sweats are great to start class with, so that after warm-ups
kids can put the extra layers in their cubby once they get on the
apparatus. Children who show up to gymnastics in dresses, skirts,
or jeans will not be allowed to participate in class, and will need
to schedule a make up class.

What happens if we miss a class?
We know that life gets hectic and things come up, that’s why
we allow one makeup per month. We ask that you do the make-up within
three weeks of the missed class. When you are ready to schedule
the makeup just give us a call and let us know what day and time
work for you, and we will make sure that the make-up spot isn't
already taken, then sign you up. When you come in the day of your
makeup you will find a slip, on the make-up board, with your child’s
name and
instructor on it. That will be their ticket into the make-up class.
Due to the large number of enrolled students and the limited availability
of make-up spots we are unable to re-schedule missed make-ups, so
please make sure you schedule
carefully!

What should I do if we would like to discontinue our enrollment?
If you decide that it’s time for a break from classes, we
ask that you give us a two week written notice before your last
class. So, if you know that you will be discontinuing at the end
of a certain month, we ask that you give us written notice by mid-month.
This allows us time to cancel your billing, and call the next person
on the wait-list for the class you will be leaving. If you come
to the front desk we have Drop Slips that are quick and easy to
fill out, or you may e-mail your drop notice to Julie@Encoregym.com.

When is class tuition due?
Class tuition is due the first week of classes each month. For example,
you attend on a Friday, which falls on the 6th of the month, your
tuition is not late if you bring it in that day. Customers who are
enrolled in the auto pay program can expect their credit card account
to be debited during the first week of the month.

How do I know when my child is ready to move up to the next level?
All Encore classes work off the same curriculum according to what
the level of the class is. When a child first joins a class, or
moves to a new level, they will receive the star chart for their
level. This will give you an idea of what skills we are looking
for in order to move kids to the next level. Every couple of months
the instructor will give out stars to stick onto the star charts
that correspond to the skills they have mastered. Once the whole
chart is filled, the student will be set up with an evaluation to
move to the next level.

How do kids move to the next level?
To move to the next level kids need to schedule a Technique 20 Discontinuing
class: If you do not pay for the upcoming session by the tuition
payment deadline we will assume that you are not going to continue
with the class, and automatically discontinue your childs enrollment.
If you have opted for the autopay option we do ask for two weeks
notice prior to the drop, so that we have a chance to cancel the
autopay to ensure that you will not be charged.
Tuition due is due by the upcoming sessions tuition priority deadline.
Deadline is generally three weeks prior to the beginning of the
next term. Please call the gym for specific dates.

What should I do if I want to transfer my child to another day and
time?
If you need to change your class time just give the office a call
and let us know. We will work with you to find a new time that fits
your schedule, and has space available.
(CLASSES)
What is the five minute break between classes for?
We have this break so that the coaches have a few minutes to answer
any questions, or listen to any concerns you may have about the
class or your child. Please feel free to approach the teachers with
anything you would like to discuss, we are always glad to help,
and interested in feedback.

How do tuition discounts work?
We offer tuition discounts for students that are enrolled in more
than one class per week. You will receive a 20% discount off of
a second class and a 30% discount off of a third class. We also
offer a tuition discount as well as a membership discount for families
of 3 or more.

If my child’s friend is visiting with us for the day, can
he or she try the class with my child?
Yes. We offer Bring-A-Friend passes so that your child can bring
a special guest to their class once a year. In order to ensure that
there will be room available you must call ahead to schedule the
class for their buddy. The buddy will need to have a waiver
signed by their own parent or they will not be allowed to attend
the class. Bring-A-Friend passes can be used in Tiny Tumbler, beginning
level dance and Red level classes only.
(CLASSES)
Do we need to check in at the front desk before every class?
Once your child has turned their new student slip into the teacher
they will be recorded on the roll sheet. You will only need to check
in at the front desk if your child is transferring to a new class
time or day. Parents can feel free to leave during the class, but
please make sure the office has accurate contact information.

What is the order of events for the party?
When you arrive, you will want to check-in at the front desk, where
our staff will take your cake, drinks, and any other items you have
brought and bring them to the party room which will already be set
up. Once your guests arrive and it’s time for the party to
start, the party staff will take the kids to the main floor. If
you are having a gymnastics party, the kids will begin with a fun
and exciting warm-up. Rock climbing parties begin with harnessing
and some fun bouldering practice. The first hour will include whatever
activity you have chosen, either gymnastics or rock climbing. (Combination
parties will switch from rock climbing to gymnastics after a half
an hour.) Once the activity time is finished the group will head
to the party room for refreshments, and, lastly proceed to the gift
area to open presents.

How many adults can be on the floor at one time?
When you check in at the front desk before the party you will be
given two special lanyard passes. These are to be worn by the two
adults that will be on the floor for the duration of the party.
Two additional adults can be provided with passes, if they would
like to assist with the belaying during the rock climbing portion.
The passes may not be traded to other parents during the party.
Other parents and guests who wish to stay during the activity portion
are welcome to hang out in the parents area where they will be able
to view the children and activities.
(PARTIES)
Can my 4 year old participate if we are doing rock climbing?
We recommend rock climbing for age 5 and older. Younger friends
and family that are over age 3 but under age 5 can hang out in the
waiting area during rock climbing; they are welcome to participate
during the gymnastics portion if they would like. It is difficult
for the birthday party staff to monitor any children that are not
climbing with the group, for this reason, and to ensure your guests’
safety, we ask that guests under the age of five stay in the waiting
area with a responsible adult.
(PARTIES)
For Parties, am I allowed to bring in food or snacks (like pizza)?
You are welcome to bring in any food that you would like to. If
you do choose to bring in food or snacks, we will usually stop the
activity time 5 minutes earlier since our parties are set up to
accommodate cake time only. There is a Round Table Pizza near Encore
and they frequently deliver to the gym. If you would like to order
pizza from them it is a good idea to call as soon as you arrive.
You can also bring in any type of snack food you would like. Encore
does not have a sink in the party room, or appliances for reheating,
so simple foods are best. We do have a refrigerator for the soft
drinks (juice boxes or pouch drinks work really well) and a freezer
for ice cream.
(PARTIES)
How far in advance do you need to know the head count?
In order to allow adequate time for staffing, we ask that you please
call with a head count exceeding 16 kids one week prior to the party
date.
