It was inevitable that
Alex would become involved in gymnastics. His mother was a gymnastics coach,
who led her team to pre-Olympic trials. From the time he was an infant he
was being taught how to tumble. He formally started gymnastics at age 4.
At 7 years old he included dance into his schedule, and has continued ever
since. Alex joined the Encore coaching team in 1999. In
2001 he moved to NY, where he performed off-Broadway and went on tour. He
returned to California and Encore in Dec. of 2002. We are
thrilled to have him back, but not nearly as thrilled as his students. He
currently teaches anything and everything we have to offer. To top it off
he works very hard as the boys’ program director. When asked what
his favorite aspect of coaching is, he put it very simply, “my kids”.
